Woman pepper sprays store owner and child.

ALBANY, N.Y. – Police have arrested an Albany woman they say stole from a local store and then pepper sprayed the owner and the store owner’s kid.
The incident happened Monday at the 99 Plus Discount Store on Central Avenue. Police say Cassandra Thigpen, 20, tried to steal a bottle of lotion and when the store’s owner confronted her, she pulled out a canister of pepper spray and sprayed the store owner in the face, along with his two-year-old son who was standing by his side.
Police say Thigpen took off with the bottle of lotion. She was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with robbery, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a noxious material. Both the owner and his son were treated at the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center.
