Going with the little brother to look at a 2000 Altima it is Auto (first car) with around 130k on it… body looks clean from the pics wednesday I go look at it/drive it what should I be looking for?
If this was a jetta I would have a list 9 miles long… as I will never let anyone I know buy an auto VW he had to go jap… lol

what no one owned/knows anyone who owned… or work on an altima?
with mine now and then i get a prob where it wont start, i turn the key to the ON positon and slide the shifter down then up and its fine, no real issues to report, 01 altima
well went and looked at it…
Cv’s looked good, no play in the wheels no funny noises, the only things i noticed where oil all over the oil pan/tranny pan… looked like a oil pan gaskit leak as there was no oil higher then the pan… and the exhoust is hung with radiator clamps 
But it runs smooth, drove nice, shifted smooth, the transmission fluid looks clean, oil looked clean… he threw him a lowball offer and Friday he takes deliver of the car as long as everything works out…
Check the rear window lining for rust spots. Those cars are notorious for rust in that area… I’d check under the lights of a gas station to see if it’s been resprayed or anything.

My buddy has an 01 and has had it for about 10k and hasnt had to do a single thing besides oil changes to it.Good little cars.
My sister has a 2000, and it’s been completely reliable also, not a bad car.
i got mine with 27k, now at 95XXX and very little maint, beyond routine,
well thanks for the info… makes me feel good about it… hopfullly this one will be the same… although with his lack of ability im sure it will see tree or ditch before it blows up…
oh well atleast its purple not a big loss lol
