alum vs steel

i have had it up enough trying to find a shaft in the edmonton area so im going to order on off the internet. now hers my question is there any problems i can have with buying and aluminum shaft over a steel one cause the last thing i want is for this 500$ shaft to break on me and the price difference between the 2 is about 100$

you won’t have enough power to break either of them. . .

Steel:
+1 for strength
-1 for weight (good for drag though, will handle shock well)

Aluminium:
+1 for lightweight (would be good choice for your sr)
-1 for flex (won’t feel AS snappy as steel)

if they are made well you won’t have to worry about breaking them unless you’re building something over 500whp . . .

I have an aluminum one and i love it

Aluminum is a little easier on trannies but you aren’t making enough power for it to matter.
