Ok…so this is driving me absolutely insane…my 180 was an auto and is now a 5spd…and whenever it’s in reverse it beeps!!! I CAN’T FIND WHERE THE WIRE IS TO CUT THAT ANNOYING BEEPING OUT! Where would it be or is it a fuse? Someone plllleeeeaaaassseeee tell me how to disable it before I lose it and start ripping apart the dash…it’s like an evil gremlin living in the dash making that stupid sound whenever I’m in reverse…
imagine driving all the way to Edmonton from Lethbridge, no cd player, no passenger with the god damn speed chime still in. your little reverse beep is NOTHING compared to that hell!!!
…we at the gremlins union do not relate to your beeping. If we had anything to do with it it wouldnt be working at all…

simple solution : stack cluster (i would assume the beeping has to do with the cluster)
i hate my stupid back up beeper. ive een trying to track that thing down for a while :finga:
try taking out the fuse for your tail lights/reverse lights and see if it stops the beeping. If not its most likely your stack cluster like gleNN said :D.
Hick solution: Ignition on, stick it in reverse, listen to beep, start cutting wires one by one until the sound stops.

it really is not so bad, the speed chime is alot worse as it is set at around 107-110, so almost any highway driving sets it off …that one is easy to find and remove but the AT chime is still in my cars
here is an idea. unplug your speakers, find the beep. can’t be that hard.

how can you not find a beep? it must be emitted from somewhere. I have no idea where to look, i didnt know there was a speed alarm and back up alarm in s13, maybe 180sx. I’m not even really sure what car you ARE talking about, but a beep is a very annoying sound usually very easily pinpointable.
Once you figure out where its coming from and find what is emitting it, trace the wires untill you find a source and cut that fucker out. drink beer :partyman:

i hate beeps. i mean i seriously fucking hate beeps and any high pitched sounds and hope they all die a painful painful death; which is also why i prefer bass
