When I ran my car, My tune was WAY too rich (for example, The run before I trapped 106, I was trapping only 100 cause I was so rich…i leaned it out a little, and I trapped 106)…I pulled a 2.2 60’ and Had to let off down the strip and hit the gas again twice because my tranny doesnt shift…I had a master power T70 that didnt spool up nearly as fast as my turbonetics T72…All these factors add up…Now I have a much better turbo, Much better tune…and my tranny doesnt affect me as much on highway runs as if we were going through all the gears…my car trapping 120+ how it sits right now?? I think not…AT MOST I would say 112-115…but from a dig my tranny keeps me from achieving those traps…highway, when im mostly in 1 gear (my 3rd gear goes from (75-125) it pulls nice.
Down low, if my tranny doesnt fuck up (1 out of every 10 runs)…it will snap your neck 1st-2nd…I feel as if my car pulls a ton more harder down low, then it does up top.
My injectors are maxed, I have Methanol I need to hook up, A 3" cutout to put on (I have a 3" downpipe going into a 2.5" catback, Talking about suffocating my turbo on top end!)…I need some MT drag radials…a new tranny, shift kit and torque converter…

wow… i leave for 8 hours and look what happens. i checked boost on my way home last night. i was between 19-20 psi… its tuned to 22.5 psi… so i was low on boost, ALSO im now trying to push everything through a STOCK exhaust… i was tuned on a full 3" exhaust… thats prolly dragging me down by 20hp right there… on and heres the kicker… i had 3 people in my car…andrew had 2 people in his… neither car was really “track prepped”. ive got 2/3 exhaust gasket leaks which is hurting spool and overall power right now and im pushing out antifreeze somewhere… im gunna shit a chicken if i popped a head gasket. right now… my car prolly wouldnt trap more than 110 with 1 person in it… im sayin last night… 105mph capabilities… but we did run from 65/70-150
my bigger turbo alone, will prolly increase my trap 3-4mph over my old turbo…then throw my 3" cutout on that, and people with my similar setup on my old turbo are seeing as much as a 5mph increase on traps with the cutout open.
i raced the sti last night and he smoked me, and i probably trap around 107, when the sti and v6turbo raced they were neck and neck one race and the sti beat him by a car length on another race, so i believe that the v6t would trap a lot higher than 107, it def feels a lot faster than my car.
why do you always go back the “defendng your buddy”… i was saying shit, but you guys just kept not aknowleding what ihad to say… i don’t care what people have to say at the lot, my k20 will trap 120, my sti traps 120+ if i do this to my car it will run *** at **** blah blah, theres a difference between saying you’ve done it and you will do it. the only reason i brought up the s4, because thats what I personally can comapre the GTI to. you guys are hounding the guy over what you guys think the car will run… get your facts straight before you start shit… honestly…
agreed… my car has NOT been to the drag strip. everything is pure speculation at this point. however i DO know that of the 3 cars that ran last night none were in 100% running order so we wont know their full potential. its time we all get our shit together because spring time and track season is rapidly approaching.
