Icon gear saved my ass once and the Jacket I have looks good and fits well. Most of their stuff is lame but I definitely love the stuff I have. My only complaint is the lack of a collar on my jacket. My neck ends up cold.

I think Icon has actually made it look “cool” to wear gear, and on their webpage they have a Survivors section which hopefully encourages more people to wear gear.
I guess it’s supposed to look “cool” anyways. I’m kind of not into their designs but like I said it has kept me out of the hospital once so far and I really just don’t have anything to complain about with it. It does what it is intended to do.
