So, yeah. I guess the :snky: is over. I picked this up on Saturday evening in York, PA. James, sleeprtsi who owns roclife, was kind enough to loan me his truck with Brad and Cass throwing in lots of driving and some labor loading up the car and parts.
It’s a 1993 RX-7 that I’ll be putting an LS1 in over the next couple months. The guy I bought it from bought absolutely everything needed for the swap but never got around to actually putting it together. The car came with a '99 LS1 with 35k on it, a T56 with under 5k on it (brand new, basically) and absolutely TONS of spares and extra parts. I still don’t know everything that it came it, there are boxes upon boxes.

Should be sick. Anyone else find it funny that if you put an lsx into an rx7 people get all ancy about how it ruins soul/character of the car yet they think newman putting an rb into an e30 is the coolest shit ever.

Couple months is the plan. It’s not a lot of labor, but I have a 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzle waiting for me. I wasn’t the one to take the car apart, so it should be a bit interesting to put it back together. Luckily, there is a TON of support on forums for this swap, so when I run into trouble, I can just throw up 6 or 8 photos and a question and have someone steer me right.
that could be one of the greatest combos ever. nice buy. please do a nice DIY on this to replace that lame one in the DIY forums we currently have.

I’ve always thought this was a cool swap. I’m all domestic but thats cool. matter of fact when i finish my wifes chevelle i’d concider one of these projects or a ac cobra kit.
