Gotta luv custom stuff!
nice
why do people with twin turbo’s(supra’s) go to a single turbo as an upgrade and people with 1 turbo(wrx), go to a dual turbo setup as an upgrade. Only one of them can be correct, which one is it?
Twin turbo subies are pretty rare. Its basically just trying to be unique and different.
I would think a single turbo would be more efficient, easier to tune…
thats a really nice looking setup
single turbo > *
Oh man does that look nice. I’m not to sure about the mounting of the ic though.
from what i understand… when you have a TT like a supra, and put a good 15 grand into the motor its alot easier to spool 1 Massive turbo other then 2 decently big ones…? also easier to tune?
lol damn i was just on NASIOC checkin that car and i come on here and there it is again
A nice Sequential Set Up would be nice for the street. Maybe a small Ball Bearing turbo to get things going, then a monster snail for insane top end. TT Supras are Sequential from the factory, but pretty much all the tuners go with a big single turbo set up…Like stated earlier tho, a single set up would be easier to tune and will most likely make more power…
you would think that an even powerband would be desired, thus a twin sequential setup would be optimal - unless you are a dyno queen.
flat torque curve>peaky(is that a word? ) torque curve
There are definatly custom aftermarket TT setups that make power on Supras (Justin Humphrys Race Redi Lexus GS300). Although for the time and money to set them up, its a PITA… 99.9% of the aftermarket TT setups are not sequeintal anyways, there maybe one prototype that I know of, so instead of buying 2 GT35R’s, why not buy one GT47-90 or GT47-88? That also means one wastegate, less piping, better flow, etc… its all about volume no matter how many turbochargers you have.
shit, i’ve had that idea to TT a wrx since they came out. I can’t believe its only now people are actually doing it.

some versions come like that, in japan only i guess (ej20tt)…so its not a brand new idea.
but its cool to see shops doing some custom ones.
