I’d be delighted if the tolerant, reasonable fiscal conservatives from the Independent Party, the right fringe of the Democratic Party, and the left fringe of the Republican Party broke off and made a new party.

Word. My biggest problem with them was how, during the election, they villainized intelligent successful people as elitist and embraced “average” as nobility. Palin talks like she barely achieved a communication degree :mamoru: and they make some unemployed ex plumber a symbol of the party? Political leaders are supposed to be statesmen: the most highly educated and intelligent people in the land, not average schmucks who can barely hold a job “just like the rest of us.” To me that just shows that the GOP has lost all vision of purpose and are blindly trying to win elections. Until they stop striving for mediocrity and pushing us towards Ayn Rand’s People’s Republic ala Atlas Shrugged I’ll be voting Democrat.

John McCain (not the presidential candidate who was force-fed his positions, the mccain who’s been in the senate for 57 years) is a liberal nut job to a lot of the people who talk about politics on here.
I realized that about 5 characters into my first post of a political argument here.

Considering that you hate everything that Obama is trying to do wouldn’t everything he does equal a FAIL to you? Meaning even if he is successful in:
- Providing millions with healthcare,
- Bringing troops home from Iraq and concentrating on Afghanistan,
- Ending this recession, or at least or at least curtailing its effects.
- Gain the worlds respect back as the leader in the free world.
- Revamp our underfunded schools desperately trying to fund Bush’s NCLB garbage.
Wouldn’t you still consider all of those FAILS? So really he isn’t failing because its just your opinion on the issues being regurgitated.
How about you look at the your own FAIL party, no leadership, no agenda but that of the radical right, no ideology, no credibility.
You can sit there and say “I love Ron Paul” all you want but he does not represent the Republican Party at all. He will never have the endorsement of the Republican Party for President, he will never have a voice loud enough to change the Republican Party.
Ron Paul is irrelevant. Which is sad because he really is the most honest person in the conservative movement. I may not agree with him on everything but I def wouldn’t throw him under the bus the way the Republican Party has.
Where is your rage against the Republicans?
