Well once the temps started dropping the CEL came on, it still ran fine so i made an App with the dealer, thought maybe the cold temps and the intake might have thrown something off cause it was missing a little at idle. I reset the ECU and then it started missing really badly while driving. Took it to midas to get the code read and it was a misfire on cylinder 4. Drove it home, was going to take it to the dealer then it just wouldn’t stay running when i tried to start it. Just reved up to 2 grand then fell straight off and died. Tried changing the spark plugs cause I thought maybe they fouled when i reset the ECU but it didn’t change anything. Thinking its either a stuck EGR valve or coils going. Either way its under warrenty.

looks like I might be getting a new engine under warranty. Dealer couldn’t ever figure out what the problem was, cyl #3 had low compression. As soon as this is all back to running good I’m selling this thing. I’d rather have an RSX or something reliable and affordable until i can pay off my student loans and afford a car that i really want.

So i stopped down today cause i was driving past after lunch. It was suppose to be done on mon or tues so i figured it should be close. Apparently they got the engine in today and started it up and they said it sounded like there was ball bearings in the engine. They shut it down and ordered ANOTHER FUCKING ENGINE.

Service guy said that he saw the same thing happen with another speed engine replacement. I asked if the turbo was alright or if it came apart somehow. He said he wasn’t sure but the new engine is going to come with an intake manifold and turbo too i guess.

So another 3 weeks without my car. SWEEEEET
