To make you guys even more pissed off… I owed the state $240, mailed my return on 4/8 and they cashed my check on 4/13. Apparently they’re only slow if they owe you money. Big shock there right?
You will not get in trouble as long as you file your taxes every three years your fine as long as you do not owe the state money.
And I finally got my taxes back 60 days after filing.

Yup I owed NYS like $700 they cashed my check in <7 days. I’m glad I’ll never have to pay that fggt state just to exist again.

Both seem to say that if you made more than about $4000 you have to file.
Sorry I was Thinking about federal you can file every three years if you do not owe them money with out a penalty. After 3 years they will charge you a penalty.
why wouldn’t you file if you have a refund coming? are you that lazy?

i got my refund back pretty quick actually, I sent them out early march and got my state deposit back already. Fed too.
First year that state didn’t correct my return too, woot
