Anybody hiring entry PC/IT jobs?

Hey Guys,

I recently got laid off from my job and I’m looking for another.

Hitting up all the big sites every day, and putting my resume together.

What I’m basically looking for is a full time entry/mid level IT job thats not phone support 8 hours a day.

I have an associates from ITT in computer networking systems (I know, I know).

I have about a year experience as head tech support lead for a place in buffalo, and I was also the PC Bench tech, and network guy.

I’d be looking for a similar job, in house support for a small place, PC repair tech, master backup guy, etc.

I’m not looking for referrals from anyone (unless I know you lol), but if you guys know about a good job, shoot me a line.

Honestly, I’ll tell employers I’m looking for a long term job, but I’m moving to phoenix in august, so its basically a filler job.

im not 100% on this but i think the casino has IT openings … u would have to go to the HR building and look in the book

which casino? do tellllllll

The one in niagara falls I presume.

Thanks, I will check that out.

Also thanks guys for the PM’s, they have been helpful.

I went down to the casino HR dept 2x to apply for jobs, and all they had was busboy and security.

I’ll put in another application.

Thanks,
Justin

um… ya ok well in the binder i was looking in on friday… there was 2 or 3 IT jobs… so good luck.

and yes this is the seneca niagara casino

imgram-mirco i think is hiring

if you find anyother place looking for people post here… I’d kind of like a better paying job than what i have now

i could probably get you in at best buy on the geek squad if you wanted. not really what you want, but it’s something that is more than what it sounds like you have now.

geek squad pay well?

Yeah what does geek squad pay.

Anyways, I have an interview tomorrow at capital management services downtown for their network admin job…

Hopefully that goes well.

not as well as you’d like i’m sure, but it’s not bad for an easy job. you’d probably get 11 or 12 an hour from what i’ve heard from the guys that work in the geek squad. i’m in sales, so i really don’t know what they make.

i don’t do the hiring. you’d still have to apply, but if they interview you, i could put in a good word.

Yeah, I applied for Geek Squad… They had me take a test that was horribly outdated and one of the answers was wrong. All the windows questions were on NT4; who the fuck uses NT4 anymore?! Yet, all the Mac questions were on OS X. Sadly, I think I got most if not all of the NT4 questions wrong, but all of the OS X questions right. Also, the question with the wrong answer was “What is the strongest type of encryption on a wireless network?” and the answer was MAC Filtering… Last time i checked there is no encryption with MAC Filtering… Not to mention its probably one of the worst ways to secure a WLAN

meh. i don’t know about all that. i’m surprised they pushed NT4 so hard. they are all about the vista training in the store.

I believe my work is hiring a salesperson. 40 hours weeks, mon-fri
benefits, decent pay… not that hard of work.

Consult and sell computers and software.

I’m moving into departmental sales and licensing, so they are somewhat filling my position.
