silver lake sand dunes in Michigan… me and 3 buddies went up there as a senior trip of sorts. ties for the best weekend ive ever had (other was the last year that carlisle had camping).

two of my buddies back in Kittanning have bikes, one has a CBR600 and the other has an R1. I always had to split my money between the prelude and the dirtbike, that didnt leave much $$ left over for a streetbike.

first time i rode it i didnt think it was all that badass, felt a tad bit weaker than my 250cc 2-stroke right up to 8000, which is where my MX bike started to lose power…
then i hit a straight and wound it out past 9K… :eek3:
pulled agood foot off the ground in 1st, then hit 2nd real hard and it jumped up on me again… took it the rest of the way through 3rd up to about 110-120 i think… very cool, but after riding it a few more times the lack of low-end torque started to piss me off. Cruising around @ 7-8K kinda sucks, it felt too strung out, like an 80cc or 125cc MX bike, no power at all, then all of the sudden BAM! i want something where i can be putting along and give it a twist and have the front end pick up without being tached out to 10K, im thinkin if i ever get a streebike (which i may do for next summer if i can bank some money this summer) im thinkin something in the 900cc range, I’ve never ridden a 750 or a 900 though, so i dont really know how much of a difference in torque there is between them, or i could just go all out and get an R1… 
if you want a good torque bike get either a SV650, TL1000R,SV1000, 996 superhawk all good vtwin bikes with decent power.
