Well with summer coming up, I still have money left for school because I started in the Spring semester, I was going to take my sociology course ( probably american history) online to just get it out of the way and it’ll cost me nothing. That being said, basically nothing transfered for me from ITT (not that I expected it to…) and I still need to take an English “college composition” course which is also offered online in the summer, should I just take that one too? Anyone ever taken an English class online?
I took Chem online at RIT and it was pretty easy, way easier than taking it in the classroom. I would have a test every 2 weeks that I had to go to, in which we were allowed a cheat sheet.
I have taken 2 economics classes and currently taking a math class. They aren’t that bad especially for easy classes that you already know some of the stuff. Just make sure you have everything done on time and you will be fine
I did a course like that for English, except it was one that you had to rent videos from the school library. It sucked, but I despise English so that may have been why.
I did my entire degree online through Embry Riddle. IMHO it was the best way to do it. Much cheaper, and much easier. The downside, you have to be self motivated.
I took a couple of history electives online when I was at ECC. I found that something where I don’t have to be shown how to do something is much easier. Read up on something, learn facts and repeat.
edit: Jay if you’re in today I can probably answer any questions you have.
i take online courses every summer. Im taking two this summer and i should be able to graduate next semester because of it.
It is fine for filler courses, I wouldn’t do it for core courses. You just don’t get as much out of it. Then again, I’m of the opinion you are paying for it because you want to learn there which isn’t always the common ideology.
DO IT! online courses rock. easy grades and if you’re quick enough at searching, you can cheat on the tests… not that I encourage or support any kind of dishonesty. :snky:
I have taken online courses at ECC and Hilbert. They are pretty easy to get use to. Idk what program they use because ECC and Hilbert both use Angel which is a easy program to use. Online courses are great if your responsible and like to write papers/ read.
I’m taking English online right now. It’s so easy. I’m also taking 2 courses online this summer.
i was thinking about doing this too, not so i can graduate early, but so i dont go on the 4 1/2 year plan :roflpicard:
i guess the only “gay” thing, is that they do not affect your gpa, but you will just get the credits, as with regular summer courses
i’ve taken several courses online… they were very easy but if youre not self motivated youre not going to succeed at it.
Oh definitely, there is no way I’d even consider taking an Engineering course online haha I just want to get these out of the way so I don’t have to take them later, they are just required to graduate. Thanks for the comments guys, I’m gonna go ahead and do it just wanted some reassurance
i am also taking English online guy. it is easy, just a lot of writing.
I have taken a ton of classes online. Basically what Walter said. I have really enjoyed taking some classes online.
Well American History was full, so I ended up with Psychology instead. And then the English class (college composition). Should be an easy 6 credits
I took a few classes online a few years back, but withdrew because I really didn’t care since online classes don’t get my attention.
If something doesn’t interest me, I won’t stay focused.
I haven’t taken an online class yet but i am doing one this summer. Chem 1 + online lab. They use a java applet or something, type in what you want to mix, the temperature, and it gives you the results. Should be simple.
http://sln.suny.edu <–That has a TON of online SUNY courses
Why not just take a real chemistry course at NCCC + lab?
