Carfax is kind of a waste of time…my S4 had a clean carfax when in fact it was involved in an accident.

thats true. its good to check for odometer roll back tho. i looked up a car once that showed the milage reports steadly going up to 90k, than it went down to the 40k and started going up from their.
I registered a car with a title that said 89k and the odometer said 68k. I told the Schenectady DMV that the Alabama DMV (Alabama title and Tennessee plates on the car) mustve meant 8900 instead of 89000 and they registered it for me.
I had nothing to do with changing the odometer and didnt care since I traded a $600 truck for it.
same with my GTI but…its better than nothing
actually it went like this when i bought that car. got the car fax at the used car shop, was clean. went to subaru to trade it in and the carfax was no longer clean. lol. i was like WTF?!?!?!?!?!
