Anyone have a KA24DE ignition coil...(Brampton/Mississauga)

…that I can test out? Just need to try it on my car for a few min before I
go and blow $140+tax @ Nissan for one (Napa wants $170+tax).

Around Brampton/Mississauga area?

Thanks,

you sure it’s the coil dude?

and why spend 140 bux on a stock coil when you can get a MSD Blaster II E-Core Coil for $80 at P.I.

I checked the resistance on the coil harness. It gave me wacky readings
and then nothing at all.

It’s not my voltmeter because I checked resistance on other parts (i.e.
coolant temp sensor) and it gave proper readings.

And the coil you speak of; it’s interchangeable?

Anyone?

Help a brotha out…

i have one but its a long walk

:awesome:

Maybe the first thing you should do is check the wiring going to the coil?
Then check and make sure it’s ground properly? (use an ohm meter between - battery terminal)

Might as well rule that out while you are waiting for a response …

I put in a different distributor + wires + new spark plugs. No dice.

I checked resistance on the ign. coil and it gave 2.xx ohms on the 200
setting on my voltmeter. FSM says it should be 0.7ohm

More on that in the last few posts here:

I have a coil if you need one to test with… you can pick it up from me at work dixie and 401.

Thanks mate, but I tried another coil and it didn’t help my problem :frowning:

Guess it’s not the coil…
