So my mechanic has been thinking about becoming an authorized Malone Tuner if there is a demand in this area. I told him I would be up for getting my MK6 done and was wondering what kind of interest there is here?
Disclaimer… if and when he actually starts tuning for malone he expressed interest in becoming a vendor. So for now this is a gaining interest post.
I tried to get my TDi tuned by them when I owned it, and it was too much of a pain in the ass. Most of the “dealers” within a decent drive were just enthusiasts that got together with some friends to get a deal on a tune. I tried to contact a few of them but got nowhere.
Long story short, seems like a real good tune, but a PITA to get done without shipping in your ECU. Kinda like the UM tune I got for the GoflR. If VW does come out with a MK7 Golf Wagon TDi AWD 3 pedal like they are talking about I will be in the market again for a tune though, so I’m all for this.
