Anyone know of or remember seeing this car around...

I know this is kinda random. But I should have done this years ago. so I know its a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot. But I’m goin’ for it.

The last time i saw the car was about 10 years ago. But I’m wondering if anyone has seen a 84ish Monte Carlo painted Gunmetal Metallic. With these Wheels http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=USW%2D94%2D5812&N=700+4294923107+4294923105+115&autoview=sku
(not exact ones, but looked just like them)

The prominent feature was under the hood. It had the A/C removed with a piece of sheet metal over the opening painted the body color with a “heartbeat of America” decal on it.

The block and heads were taken out of a 60s Vette bored out to 388ci. They were painted Chevy Orange. It was an auto trans, I’m trying to remember the model, may have been the T400. Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, custom bent exhaust, MSD Ignition box.

I actually just scanned a picture of the engine:

This was taken before the wiring was cleaned up. But this is the engine as it was last seen. We had a bigger air filter on it before, but we changed something and it wouldn’t fit under the hood after that, may have been a carb upgrade.

It was last seen for sale at a junk yard. (not as parts, but who knows maybe it ended up that way) My dad sold it cause he got annoyed after it went from a 350 to a 388 (it was done in stages) we were going to add nitrous and tub it out. But when he got it from the machinists for the 388 conversion one of the cylinders knocked. He was pissed. we played with it for another 6 months and he got fed up and sold it. It was only selling for a couple thousand.

Other mods that were done: Door braces were cut out (so crash rating on the sides was Zero) to reduce weight, custom aluminum drive shaft, hood ornament was removed and flushed, there were a few other things done.

There is also a story behind the drive shaft. When my dad was on his way to get the drive shaft that was in it last. He pulled into the now non existent toll booths on the 190 coming from the 90. There was a chevelle a couple booths over and they spotted each other, They dropped their change and floored it. when the trans kicked over from 3rd to 4th, the shaft disintegrated. The only part left was attached to the differential. about 10 inches. there was some damage done to the bottom of the car, mostly under the back seats. My dad being the ghetto repair man he was, fixed it with roofing tar.

So thats the end of my story. If anyone knows, it would be awesome to get in contact with it again. It spent most of its life in Lancaster until about 12 years ago. then it went for sale. I don’t remember exactly where the junk yard it was selling from was.

and also on a side note, dose anyone remember or know if (i don’t think it exists anymore) RJ Automotive exists anymore. It was in Amherst somewhere, possible on Main St. It was at the end of a long dirt driveway behind a small house. it shared the property with a place the specialized in trucks. last i saw he was building a Olds 5th gen Cutlass Supreme pro street drag car.

ok thats the end of a long post.

as for a correction i believe after further investigation (google maps) that RJ was in Clarence on mainst, if i spotted the right plot of land.
