Selling my 1981 Monte Carlo LS that I have owned for 16 years and has been stored for every winter for the past 20 years when my brother owned it. Body is in excellent condition, one small rust spot near the passanger wheel arch. This was a show car.
This was a project vehicle that i haven’t touched it in a few years. Brand new custom built engine designed by Edelbrock Engineers, had been driven only 1100 miles for its break-in period. Engine was built to run Nitrous, but the engine was still in it’s break-in period and never given a shot. I stored to tub and cage, but never finished due to lack of motivation. Tubbed to fit 14" wide wheels.
Engine: (Over $8K in receipts) 350cui, bored +.040", Full roller valvetrain, forged crank/pistons, performer rpm intake, custom built holley double pumper, opitcal distributor, 8mm ignition wires, MSD 6AL Ignition + min starter, fluidamper, more
Chasis/suspension: Narrowed rear-end, laddar bar coil-over suspensionl. Roll cage
drivetrain: TH350 automatic transmission with competition transmission built 8" high stall torque convertor (3800stall), 9" Ford rearend 31 spline 3.50 gears with Posi.
I had plans to continue this project this year with my father-in-law, but he just got a job in the Carolinas by next month is forcing me to sell because i will no longe be able to store.
I was in the process of tubbing and have the frame narrowed. The only things left to do were run the brake lines, mount the fuel cell and fuel lines, driveshaft, and refill the transmission with fluid.
Doors and glass and bumpers have been set asside for the latest modifications and are included.
ran a 10.44 in the 1/4 with this setup:
