I’m going to be picking up my next car fairly soon. My Ford will be retired thereafter. 1995 Ford Taurus, green. 3.0 v6, auto, ~135,xxx miles. This thing has been my trusty beater for years now.
It’s never let me down. Always started, Always ran like a champ. Here’s the lowdown on it as a whole:
-Door handles are goofed. DF---- only opens from outside and doesn’t lock, aka roll the window down to get out. PF---- inside handle is broken off and is the same as DF. DR opens, but needs a kick while lifting handle. PR sticks most times, but opens in similar fashion as DR
-Needs an exhaust, as in has none at the moment. Can assist in donating parts though, or I may clamp a muffler on before it goes.
-Ebrake does not work. At all. Don’t ask.
-Directionals are flukey. Work most of the time, some days they tick slow. Could just need a flasher. I don’t care enough to look into it.
-Tranny leaks fluid from the side cover, I just keep adding a quart every week. I may slap some silicone over the rust hole in the side cover to stop it. Depends on how ambitious I feel.
-Has new plugs, new wires, new water pump recent new brakes and lines(might need front pads soon).
-Has a CD player deck in it. Brand I have no idea.
-Fairly new tires on it all around.
-136,xxx miles IIRC
-Have a spare distributor with ignition module, alternators, rad shoud with fan, some brain boxes, accessory belt. will toss all that in the car for you as spares.
I’ll let this sweet ride go for $200 as soon as my other car shows up(couple weeks probably). Sold as is.
Ok in all seriousness it could make someone a good backup ride, or daily if your heart desires. Made a great winter beater for me, plows through just about anything with studs on the front. First come first serve.
If you want to buy it, put your name down. When the WRX arrives I’ll be going down the list until someone fronts cash right up.
