Not mine, but there all the same(I don’t have any pictures of mine hosted) - something significantly more exotic due in the stable no later then spring of 08. This car is WAY too heavy.

Seems most of us have Hondas as beaters…hmmm

98 Civic hatch, it’s so reliable compared to the DSM that I’m considering switching to it permanently…

thats your winter beater…or thats your all around ride for the year??

Honda beaters ftw! :lol

2001 dakota v6 5spd 4wd… I’ve had the damn thing for 2 years now and I don’t think I’ve ever taken a pic of it, HA!

Pfft, my winter beater is way better in the snow. :nuts

yeah FWD in the winter, ftw ::slight_smile: :rofl :nuts

Nah, FWD isnt any fun. You can get to the grocery store safely, but you cant do it sideways at really slow speeds.

thats true, but thats what the e-brake is for but i guess rwd you can just give it gas and have fun :lol

If your crafty you can have more fun in snow with a FWD, I had a large rear sway bar on a FWD winter vehicle, with the factory front and it actually over steered. It was an absolute blast to drive, I also had Nokian studded snows all around to it was by far the most fun and safest car I’ve ever driven in snow.

i’m gonna miss rwd in the snow, but i’ll have to settle for fwd now. my rwd machine is not a winter car anymore.

youll never have as much fun in low traction situations than with rwd imo

or awd…

I’m certainly not going to argue that, but with a little tuning you are not limited to yanking the ebrake in order to have fun with a FWD. I think the best combo for fun in snow is AWD with a RWD bias, i.e. not audi.

ive never owned a beater just for winter. whats it like?

phenomenal, it just makes you want to do everything you cant do in your summer car, i actually LOOK for potholes to drive through, try to launch off speedbumps, hit every puddle i see, etc etc…

:banana

EXACTLY!, just beat the shit out of it…hence the name winter BEATER :mwahaha
