My father owns a concrete business, so I figured I’d throw this out there.
Sidewalks, porches, steps, driveways, anything concrete. Lots of references and past jobs available for questions/inspection. Easily some of the best pricing you’ll get because of the small size of the business.
Available for pretty immediate work.
If this is against any of the rules, please let me know.
do you break up/remove existing concrete and stonework? I need a walkway in my backyard removed, along with a small concrete pad-looking thing. What does that normally run…hourly/sq ft of removal?
For the risers of the steps it’s easier to get a formliner for the height of the riser. If he doesn’t have them already, they’re expensive. Probably doesn’t if he doesn’t want to do em.
I know that is one way to go. But I have seen guys, that had the experience, just pull the forms, at the right time, and then dye and stamp the faces. In my opinion this way gives a much nicer, real stone look that just doesn’t happen when using riser form stamps.
the stamped and dyed concrete work around here is non existant and way too expensive thats why alot of guys wont touch it the rubber stamps are outrageously expensive… My boss was gonna start doing it but there is no demand here for it. You want nice stepd either get real natural built limestone built steps or go for exposed aggregate steps which are just as nice
How big of a stamp are you looking for? A friend’s company (also self-owned) does concrete borders, and does all kinds of coloring and stamping.
Edge Appeal, Inc. 412-896-3851, tell whoever answers the phone Jesse sent ya. I’m not sure if they’ll be able to help you, though. It depends on the size I suppose.
Also, our charging does vary depending on what’s needed, and we can come give you a quote no problem. PM me with what you need done, what size everything is, and pics if possible, or just PM me an address and we can come check it out.
The company name is RobCo, and as of now it’s still on the pretty small scale, but I believe we’re putting an ad in next years phone book
If needed for serious parties, I can post pics of past work. I’ll just need a few days to drive all over the city taking pictures.
I’ll get some pictures and measurments of it in the next day or so. I can do all of the forming and prep work. Hell I can even get the concrete in the hole and finished, I just need it dyed and stamped. And I dont want it dyed in the truck. That makes everything come out to be one color. I like the spray/spread type of dying so you get the contrasting colors. And it looks way more natural.
Color hardener. Looks really good too when the finisher antiques the surface too (contrasting color that lays in the low spots of the stamp). Color hardener is cheaper than integral color most of the time too. It just means that your color is only on the surface so a high traffic area could get chipped and the bare concrete could get exposed.
