Anyone want to dyno their car for cheap this weekend?

Here’s the deal, we have the dyno installed in the ground and all hooked up but we need some test cars to sort out the hardware/software that runs it. So, if you are a Pittspeed member and have a 2WD vehicle (car or truck) we’d like to borrow you this weekend for some dyno set up work.

We’ve settled on a price of $60.00 for somewhere between 5 and 10 runs over the space of about an hour or so. For that money you will get simple pulls on the dyno (no tuning, just baselines or 1/4 mile runs). You can expect some time to be spent with us fiddling around with our equipment and getting things sorted out as far as strapping down vehicles and just figuring basic proceedures out. As always, you’ll be inside your own car doing the driving on the dyno while we run the equipment and make adjustments to our computer. We also need to get all of our dyno operators up to speed with running things so expect things to happen at a leisurely pace.

Right now we’re not sure if this will happen on Saturday or Sunday but we will need at least five people to get things sorted out. If you are interested, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE! Call me at the shop (412-882-3100) to reserve your slot. Also, don’t even bother calling if there’s a chance you won’t make it (because of bad weather, downloading porn, no money in your pocket, etc), I need people that can be here for sure-no matter what.

We’ll also have the Longacre scales available if anybody wants to use them. Our basic fee is $60.00 and for that much money you get to do all the adjusting and fiddling with your own tools. We would normally be able to corner weight your car for you but we’ll be busy with the dyno so the scales will strictly be self-serve this weekend although we will be able to give you a few tips and suggestions when we have a chance.

will you be using a wideband o2

No, no wideband for now. We just need to get the basics sorted out.

I also forgot to mention that we’re located in Castle Shannon right on route 88. Sometimes I just assume everybody knows about us. Duh.
