I drove one several years ago and it impressed me. I dont know what Id really do with it though since I dont need a daily driver type car. Id have to redo the suspension or something.
If its the car I think it is its not in bad shape as far as looks go. Its across from Price Chopper in Saratoga and has NM plates.
that was the problem this year. I drove it a decent amount and decided to keep it and now Im stuck fixing it and putting more money into it again.
mazdaspeed proteges just have a turbo kit slapped on a regular mazda protege motor. no provisions internally for boost.
I wouldnt be going for all out speed or drag racing it so it should be ok. Id just like to make it handle curves and twisting roads.

I had a Neon that handled really good and my brother had a Focus ZTS (factory handling suspension) that handled awesome, especially after putting on an SVT rear sway bar.
if you want to handle, then why dont you buy an awd car?? they are the best type of street car imo. trust me, i own a rwd, awd, and fwd car at this moment lol.
