Not coming out anytime soon, but I really like the concepts behind this project.
It says “will be available commercially by the end of 2007” but as far as I understand it is being used in military applications right now and there is still interest in it commercially, not sure though.
Apple is making a version of the multi-touch table now? I really like it but don’t have a use for one. You can make one with a web cam, infared LEDs, LCD or projector and some plexiglass.

The commercial thing i saw on this a while ago said it could recognize other electronic device by simply placing them on top of it.
I wonder how it would recognize my beer or chopping up some coke.

It can reconize items by shape fairly accurately, I saw a video of a multi-touch bar, it was the tits.

While apple is trying to patent multi-touch… but they are not the only people with the technology…
A lot of the things and technology like this are in use today, just not in everyday use, mostly military and other applications. Basicaly if it passes the militarys tests its good to go anywhere
