Won’t lie to ya. Heat took it’s toll last couple days. Will be working on it as soon as possible.:eek4:
Saw you guys finishing up those windows while out doing a few measures. Looked good from the road.

Thanks. Fit like a snug glove.
No problem at all. It’s been that way for many years. Little while longer isn’t going to hurt.
Kinda tied into my other selling / buying properties thread. For those of you waiting for proposals (you know who you are) this, along with my regular workload is part of the reason I’m delayed in responding to you. Please bear with me as I’m working on those estimates this evening. Just a little preview of the new kitchen work. Closing in about 4 weeks and cabinets should arrive just in time.
Demo Complete:
Soffits removed for full height cabinets. All mechanicals rearranged for new layout. Fridge and sink will stay in the same location. Everything else moved.
Recessed lighting installed. New walls built. Drywall ready for sanding.
Oh dont worry…I am sure those waiting are all VERY patient individuals…TAPPING FOOT LOUDLY lol
Looks good man
Wow, looks great!
Got the uppers in yesterday and should have the rest by today. Slate tile for the backsplash coming Wednesday. Countertops should be done by weeks end. Appliances coming tomorrow.
Saw this in person on Friday. What a difference it makes for the entire space!
So I take that post was load bearing after all, huh?
Looks great, man…
Yeah, I was 99% sure it was and when we opened the ceiling it was confirmed. There were ways around it but it would be alot of structural and simply not worth it. Starting the countertops next couple days. Base cabinets installed.
Been working out there pretty much day and night, and weekends. Had a gap week and was able to put in full days and evenings so made some progress. Got the downstairs laundry room pretty much ready for drywall but haven’t had time (or energy) to take pics of that.
Damn near repainted the whole damn house. My fingers are gonna be locked on a permanent death grip from the brush and roller. I let my wife pick 99% of the colors as she claims she never gets a say in any remodeling. It’s actually a good idea cause I don’t have to listen to any shit if the color doesn’t look right. She’s picked some nice colors and I have no complaints. They are mostly deeper colors and I think they go well with everything there and the new cabinets and such.
Countertops are probably going to be colored tomorrow and installed this weekend. Some progress pics.
Looking good!
Very nice man
Looks great, who does your work?
I’ve been subbing it out to magical fairies.
Woke up about 3:30 this morning and couldn’t sleep for some reason. Decided to head over and get a head start on the day and got there just around dawn. Some progress since last post. Got the window installed, countertops in (thanks Rob), and the backsplash tile installed today. Just got to get the undermount sink installed and connected, install the stove when it comes in, and hook up the dishwasher, and trim out the window and a couple trim items. Going to collapse in bad now, thanks.
Looking great
This house was really cool looking, tons of space and the backyard is really secluded.
As for the countertop Do mine next.
Black base concrete with some white streaks like yours.
That’s one hell of a kitchen, Andy…
