I can think of Craigslist, Autotrader.com and The Buffalo News classifieds.
Aside from these what means do you usually use that bring the best results when selling a vehicle?

autotrader
i HATE dealing with people on craigslist
and people on here never buy anything. ever
Yeah plus the car I am selling is a little different than norm on this site. Craigslist sketches me out too, I have my car listed there but won’t give my phone number unless someone emails me. I’m looking into autotrader more and more.
I’ve bought my last two cars on here :eekdance:.
To the OP, even if your car isn’t the norm for this site, why not list it since it’s free? Plus you never know if people know others off the forum who may be interested.
I’ve tried selling 3 of my cars on here, and i wasn’t asking “a lot” i was under bluebook/everything
and people still lowball the shit out of you
Just like i’ve sold probably 10% of my honda parts on here, and everything on honda-tech. There is a decent honda population on here, and still, no one will buy anything because they want it all for dirt cheap.
I Had my trans am on here for maybe 12 weeks, i put it on autotrader and it was sold 1week after the listing, and they gave me what i was asking
True lowballs come from every angle on here, but it’s still free marketing.
Its free marketing and most pass along word of mouth when our friends mention they are looking for something.
No offense but not putting up an ad here is a bad move. Takes 2 mins at best and its free.
Also, if it applicable, find a group that supports it and let them know. I took my mustang to a few MoM meets and let those guys know it was for sale. Turned out some guy let his nephew know of it, and he came up here and bought it. Before that I had it listed on craigslist, autotrader, and in the paper for a while, 2 summers with hardly any bites.
GLWS, whatever it is…
It is posted here. No real interest though. Its a 2000 Cadillac Deville. I’ll be putting it on AutoTrader soon. Thanks for the feedback.
i have used:
here
honda-tech
autotrader
ebay (new way lets you have a price listed and no set amount of days)
modifiedcars.com (i think)
craigslist
and a bunch of local forums that are a generalized public towards the make and model
Funny, my Integra was bought on the spot by the first guy that came and looked at it for the full asking price (Craigslist find)…and I sold my 1993 MR2 on here to Luke L.
Guess it depends on what you’re selling and the shape it’s in…
craigslist is an easy sale most of the time cars dont last long on thier unless you want too much.
on a side note, your caddy is nice, but its 2k over KBB.
my turd website, sixthsphere.com, ionforums.net, people i know, and craigslist if necessary. oh and here, but i havent sold anything here and probably wont lol, no offense.
I didn’t even check KBB, I just put it for a little less than the price I purchased it for back in December. That kind of sucks ha. The previous owner had told us it was a DTS and it fit the KBB stats for that, I found out a few months later it wasn’t a DTS and he lied about it and now I’ve over paid by 2 grand?
He sold it as a dealer to us to instead of as a private seller. Is there any way I can use the paper work to get any of the money back that he pretty much stole? I’m guessing not.
Do you have a dealers license? because im pretty sure you have to have a lisence to actually “dealer trade” a car instead of selling it privately or outright otherwise he just made some shit up to tell you. i could be wrong so correct me if i am.
He was a dealer. Well apparently, idk. Its not us with the license, it would be him and everywhere he had the car listed it was listed as the DTS model. I’m probably going to just have to cut my losses for being an idiot when buying the car but I’m just curious if as a dealer he was aloud to advertise the car as a model that it wasn’t really and sell it for $2K more than its value.
Mint lt1 fbod, with all maitenence
i got “blah blah, you can get an ls1 with 234k on it for 3k”
and my perfect gp, with all maitenece, loaded, and it was 2k under KBB, but people didnt want it because it had a salvage title, because it was totalled by the insurance company for a cracked front bumper, hood and headlight
Very True. I am guessing it will be hard to sell that car around here. Not a big Caddy market around here (WNY) and on this forum.
Craigslist and Autotrader are you best bet.
GLWS.
