assistance needed

I have a 1979 suzuki 750gse. I stored it last year and took out the battery and ran it dry at least i thought i did.

Is anyone here proficient with carburetters and can clean/ recondition and synchronize them.

I spoke to a suzuki mechanic in arkport who told me most likely the pilot jets are plugged. I attempted to run some carb cleaner through the gas but to no avail.

It also backfires and sputters and will not idle.

i have an estimate for about $300 for all 4 carbs, taken down, hot tanked and synced, 4 hours of labor plus tax and maybe parts.

I did check the plugs and 3 of them are shitty looking so i cleaned them up, got it to run for about 2 minutes then nothing since.

can anyone halp? please?

I’ve never worked with a carb before, but in the future some fuel stabilizer will help. Even if you run it dry, pour the recommended amount in the tank and then run it dry.

If you were in Buffalo, I’d do it for you.
