attn all surrounding pittsburgh shops should go on PINKS

i love that show! I’m all about lending a hand or donations if needed! Let me know what is needed.

where is the car going to be built at?

i got LSX’s out the ass

:boink

I edited it for grammer & punctuation. Changed a few words but left the basic content the same. One comment - it says a car has been built but it hasn’t yet. Are they going to want to know what it is right away?

There is a strange bond in and around the Pittsburgh area that’s rarely seen anymore. Some say it’s still all the steel and iron left in our blood from all the water pollution from the steel mills back in the 70’s. But like the strong bond of the steel workers, that bond has been passed down the to the next generation. Many of the Steel workers spent their past times doing what they know best, working with their hands and their strong skills to produce some of the fastest, meanest street machines around. It was a time when it was just one thing - racing. It was about the all mighty dollar and the satisfaction of blasting past the thinly spray painted white line at the end of a dimly light old country straight away. It was nothing more then satisfaction of knowing you crossed first in something your own hands had created. The next generation has risen from standing on a milk crate just barely able to see over the fender, watching as our fathers, older brothers, and uncles all joined together in the barn to build that one bad machine. This generation has stayed in the steel city and come to love the tradition that has been handed down to us. In today’s competitive and money hungry driven world, you never see the age old tradition of what it once was - just “racers helping racers out”. In the surrounding Pittsburgh area there are several solid business that have grown up from standing on the milk crates and handing our fathers the needed tools, that still believe in that tradition today. We have come together just as our fathers, brothers, and uncles did in the past and built a car that with spare parts, time, and the motivation to bring back and show that it’s not about making the all mighty dollar, its about what it was in the beginning - the pride of crossing the line first and helping out the other racer.

And if you need someone to track parts, cost, money, etc, I’d be glad to do it.

this would be sweet i would be willing to help even though i have very minimal knowledge of mechanics, i could hand everyone tools HEE HEE

i think us pittspeed members could maybe also donate a few bucks

sounds like this thing might just get rolling along!!! hope to see that it happens

and ya, lsx’s are good prices, as long as its not ls7

i’d toss a couple bucks in to see thi happen. most of you guys are like brothers anyways.

ok before we send anything we need to square this up.

as of right now we have jeff as the tresurer he will track and hold any funds generated. i vote yes good guy and anyone could beat him up haha! j/k

do we have a donation of a fox body rolling chassis and a lsx motor from brian?

if so you will have to establish what the cost of the motor and rollor is to you to be considered for the in kind donation

jeff i have an awsome spreadsheet that i can send you that i use for the air show that calulates in kind and actuall money

as of right now we need to agree that everything going into this is for the soul purpose of fun and MUST consider everything as a loss…

even though i am trusted in all of you i do believe some type of written agreement that everyone that should sign as they give a donation stating that it is a donation i am expecting no return on this if race and car is lost.

and in return if race is one and car is able to be sold along with a car one i am only expecting to recieve the back the % dollar of what is put into this.

i alos feel i hevnet heard anything from Whitey yet and strongly feel he needs to be on board considering alot of traffic will come to his site and i would like to set up a site for just this build…

showing the progress are sponsors are donating members and to hype up the build and of course bring attetion to our local shops!

and last but not least a team needs to be formed with there skills displayed and the items they are task for the build.

everyone is willing to help i know this but 9 million people working on one ride spells disaster

and in an even that it never gets to the show we sell the car and divide up the profits reguardless it will be a baddass car and will easly make its money back.

Im pretty poor so I wont be able to throw any money in but I could donate sometime to be a wrench hand if needed…

Me 2 i can help by turning a few wrenches myself

ok guys

like i said a team needs to be formed

and honestly this build can speaking wrench time can all be thrown together in a weekend.

one of the biggest tasks will be aquiring all the parts

and the bodywork/painting and roll cage of the car.

whne a wrench time may be the easiets option but yet you wont realize how far a simple 20 bucks will go.

i will start compileing a list of members on the first page

actualy wrnech time wont be needed untill all parts are aquired

yeah i am in, just been busy at work today… but whatever you need and that kind of stuff.

allrighty

lets see if they bite at it and we will go from there

damn i just traded my GN block. gn motor in a 240 with a huge turbo and lots of boost would been pretty fuckin quick. who around here could build a GN motor like no other? lol

i like sound of the dart chassis domination suggested.

i may have a th350 i could donate depending what kinda tranny ur gonna go with.

if the th350 will bolt to a lsx and be good for 1/4 mile its worth it!

thats if thats what he have to woirk with

i have no clue, its been sittin a while.

i assume we are including shops that are pittspeed people only. if not there are plenty of shops that do ammazing work in the area that may wanna get in on it. my dads engine guy down on streets run rd does many racing engines and he just did an engine for a 442 that is paul sr’s from american chopper. but maybe too manny hands on the project will be a downfall. good luck with it.

sounds like an awesome Idea …just hope we keep it In house with Pittspeed people/companys only
