attn all surrounding pittsburgh shops should go on PINKS

240 shell from salvage auction

ls1 from the HILL!

A light driver would help.

no need for pig blocks. rock a lightweight sb with alot of juice. easy combo for 11s now if you want 10s build up the suspension, toss in a cam

and LS1 can handle boost!!! been claimed over 1000hp with stock internals.

light shell would be a gutted notch 4 banger. has a good 4link from the factory, easy to find parts [LaurelMountainMustang] another sponsor.

also can do a turbo setup cheap, look at chads/dappies

edit i forgot who i was speaking to

didnt say GenIII said LS1 and its internals can handle the boost. no need for the 1000hp mark. thats for dyno queens. and yes this can be done but will it happen probably not

totally agree with quick, some kind of lsx motor, light, and known for making great power, dont even have to turbo it, just throw some juice at it with a nice direct port kit!!!

def a great idea, and hope this gets done

what parts would you need to make stronger???

rear end?
drive shaft?
rear suspension?

and brace the frame?

what we looking at cost wise here

still all depends on the cost yes turbo would be the way to go but your still going to have loot tired up in a turbo set up no matter what way you look at it… this would need to be such low cost to everyone that we all could walk away from it if it lost just having a good time not worrying about damn there went 500 dollars worth of my turbos blah blah

a good cheep cam and some juice was low tens in pewterss think what it be in that lighter of a car!

stock 8.8 holds up well. but if needed get 31 spline carrier out of a explorer.
subframes/torque boxes could be done at Domination
boxing in stock control arms
driveshaft is strong to begin with from a 5speed car, if anything upgrade Ujoints to 1330s
stock v8 springs or even used mach/bullit springs work well
front springs use 4 bangers ones

use a GenIII 5.3, use 4.8 pistons brings up to 10.1CR, stock 5.3 heads work well just port some. toss in someting like the magic stick, set it up for juice, run LS6 intake use Fbody fuel rails, just swap them around to the front. use 5.0 exhaust flanges and weld on a set of Gen III headers to the flanges. motor mounts use solid. cheap budget car build solely on labor

damn talked with a company today out of pittsburgh that does signs and stuff they would be intrested in donating some to get there company logo on the car.

could easly sell add space to other companies to be on the car…

basicly just need a fox roller engine and tranny if we can get that ill do all the leg work and getting us on the show!

will have to think of a good competor that baiscly we would have call them out and could be a budjet build off with a set limit that the say no more then a total$5000 cant be spent on the car…

need to think of somethiong that will grab the attetion of an audience

allready got the unity of local shops

got most of it here

LSX are$$$$$ Small Block nitrous, i can get machine work done if motor is supplied.

a fox body roller?
awsome

but if this is going to be done it gotta be done right and fair…

need a fair and trustworthy person to handel the dollar aspect of it

be it in-kind dontation or actualy dollar donation

like jj’s automotive if they donate such an such he would tag an honest dollar figure to that part and then it would be considered an in kind donation and at the end all said in done that in kind would then be the dollar figure they attached to the build.

once the car is built…sponsorship would be easy to sell for this…I have a very very good contact with ford for sponsorship that i know would jump at this idea…also i have many many many news contacts that would love to do a story on this!!

yes barney car up on hill, just put euro nose on it and call it a day

may sound like a bunch of hopla right now but i have some pretty big contacts that could help us publicize this…

but rule of thumb in dealing with commerical sponsorship you gotta have something to show the client first…then all it takes is a letter…

They can check the reps cause all the local shops here have web sites

ok just did some research

went the pinks web siet for the first time and went to the place where they are requesting racing!

We are particularly looking for shops to build car’s for the show

what better then a bucnh of shops from an area coming together

i need a professional letter…written to send im no english major

explain the unity of the shops and where about racers helping racers

we can ask for a challenger

battle of the east

number of of the east

sailor is

OK HERE IS A START NEED SOMEONE TO EDIT AND ADD

There is a strange bond in and around the Pittsburgh area, that’s rarely seen anymore some say it’s still all the steel and iron left in are blood from all the water pollution from the steel mills back in the 70’s. But like the strong bond of the steel workers that bond has been passed down the to next generation. Many of the Steel workers spent there past times doing what they know best working with there hands with there strong skills produced some of the fastest badest street machines around. It was a time when it was just one thing “racing” it was about the all mighty dollar it was about the satisfaction of blasting past the thinly spray painted white line at the end of a dimly light old country straight away, and it was nothing more then satisfaction of knowing you crossed first in something your own hands have created. The next generation has risen from standing on a milk crate just barley able to see over the fender watching as our fathers, older brothers, and uncles all joined together in the barn to build that one bad machine. This generation has stayed in the steel city and come to love the tradition that has been handed down to us. In today competive and money hungry driven world you never see the age old tradition of what it once was just “racers helping racers out”
In the surrounding Pittsburgh area there are a few solid business that grown up from standing on the milk crates and handing our fathers the needed tools that still believe in that tradition today. We have come together just as our father brothers and uncles did in the past and built a car that with all of spare parts, time, and want to bring back and show that its not about making the all mighty dollar its about what it was in the beginning the pride of crossing the line first and helping out the other racer

man this could get pretty exciting if it goes through. i’ll be willing to lend a hand or donate parts. if youre going the vw route. but i doubt that.

need the letter finalized pretty quick.

may of allready sparked some intrest at PINKS :boink
