fox body, parts easy to get and is already a good setup. plus light chassis to begin with

the 240 idea would be nice, but lots of time and money would be spent on fabing shit for it

idk if u noticed, they have had like 3-4 f bodys in the last 2 or 3 shows, why wouldnt they take another fox???

The thought of a community build is pretty original in its own right. So i dont think the car will really matter. I voted 240 would be cool to see a 240 ls1.
I have 2 18" glasspacks (2.5") if you want something to resemble a muffler. They don’t really muffle anything and when put on backwards, they are basically a straight pipe.

glass packs been tested to flow up around some good mufflers
also H pipe, mufflers dumps for the exhaust
since ppl cant decide how about 2 cars be built? a 240 from the import guys and the ls1 fox from the domestic guys.
ls1 fox is alot cheaper to build then any ohter project, parts are lying around all you would have to do is install

and to all the dumbasses that say time and money… pssh have you seem some members projects cars? I think the time and skill can pretty much make anything happen.
Jay from Hybrid put a Turbo inline 6 into a 240 but I am sure he would never be able to figure out how to properly place a LS1 into a 240… :rolleyes:
time and money thats all im saying, do we have enough of it? esp. time, when will they want this car, and we will need to get some good track time with the car, for tuning reasons, and everything else
not saying it cant be done but lets think of money. how much of it and time do we have to donate? most of our projects need finished. also why spend the money when you dont have to? I wouldnt trust and IRS for hard launching, solid axle would be best. now you need to either buy one or fab on which costs money and time. with fox drop the 7.5 and slide in the 8.8 enough said there. LS1 fox can be built in a week if needed. project LS1 240 would take slightly longer and cost more andhave more labor
I voted 240 for one reason only. I saw a couple of fox body stangs on that show. I would think they would want to switch it up.
i voted 240 with a domestic motor to reflect the mixed pittspeed community.
