blazer is probably sold. but anyways what will be the final decision on a shell?
i have a rear for the stang so if we use the barney stang. it needs a rebuild but thats nothing really and some steep gears. i have some stock parts lying around that would go on the stang.
also with the Gen III motor i say we use a standalone harness so there isnt much wiring in the car to add extra weight. also with a older stang shell there is less weight then a newer one. keep it manual windows/locks and etc. only wiring we would need is for the ECU. i say ditch the heater and etc. in a stang you wouldnt even know its gone. i also have a dash to donate also if we wanted to use a newer style dash instead of the older one. this would allow team porno red into the mix 
if we do a 5 lug conversion. parts from a ranger/markIIV we then could use the drag lites taht 1st Try has lying around. as for the rear an idea would be to just weld it together so we have a cheap spool. 8.8s have traction Lok but for cheaper result just weld it sold.

tim i like the idea of the all ford but it two mustangs have allready raced on that show and that wouldent beth ebest choice for public eye… need something that will stand out…like a lsx fox has to be a differnt brand motor in a differnt car.

as far as newspapers go dont worry about that i allready have that locked in
as well as radio and tv spoke with all them today and they would love to run a story… also spoke with a major car dealership that could possibly be intrested in sponsoring in a pretty big way. but we need to get the car up and going and then add space on it will sell like hot cakes!
also with a all ford motor. you lie in the weak link of the 302 block. you could go 351 but that would cost more money. quickest way and cheapest way is Gen III in a notch. a 5.3 can easily be build and can rev high if needed. a LS1 would be a better candiate for weight but for the budget thing a 5.3 can be had for very little money
by going up on the hill this could could be had for under a grand. then other money would be into paint, wheels, wiring, juice actually i think could dig up a juice kit if possible.
set it up for 150 shot to 175 shot, magic stick or similar cam, and you have a motor up around 400hp/400tq for no money really. then toss on the juice. you have over 500hp in a chassis thats under 3k in weight. dial it in and you have a 10sec car for very cheap!!
