I’m working on an aluminum platform for work that is going to be made out of aluminum members. Anyone have anything to size what members are need? I doubt steel beam calcs apply to this.
Are the steel beam calcs just a table of what sizes to use, or do they include stress calcs? If so, you can just substitute the correct Young’s Modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and yield strength (or whatever stress criteria they compare the stresses to).
Or you can send a P.O. over to me for $5K and I’ll do a finite element model for you.
