I stumbled across a clean original 1985 Conquest Turbo the other day at Buffalo Auto Wrecking on Hertel. Bone stock, gold with tan/brown interior, and everything was there and in great shape. It had been off the road for a few years. The owner said he didn’t know if it ran, and he would have sold it outright if it didn’t have the title branded already. The car only had 90K. I figured I’d let people know about it- they’re not that common to find like this. It’s in the far back mixed in with Neons and Caravans. They let you pull your own parts and prices are reasonable.
Yeah its the car that sat on French Rd for a few years. it had a blown headgasket. I spoke with the guy, he only wanted like $500 bucks…but I didn’t wanna spend that on an 85 flatbody, with a soft body, missing frame rails, and probably rusted cylinder walls.
thats ok, mike got the nose panel off it i think, and a few other misc. items he needed :tup:
word, i looked for it this weekend on my way to M&M and i didnt see it.
damn shame he scrapped it
