I don’t find 9mm too weak. A G17 with Corbon 115 gr JHP, 1350 fps, power factors at around 155-160. That’s nearly a 357 magnum. And it holds 3x-6x the capacity of the revolver…18 or 35 rounds, depending on what magazine and rig I chose that day.

call this incredibly simple-minded, but it’s always been my experience that people from ghettoes down south are much nicer than people from ghettoes up here. When I was 16, I got lost in some really scary area of Savannah, and some guy who looked like “Suspect #1” on every episode of NYPD Blue dropped what he was doing to draw me a map to get back onto the road to Hilton Head.
I’ve been to some scary-looking parts of Atlanta, Charlotte, and parts of Florida and I’ve never had a problem.
I delivered pizza in Brighton Heights, North Side, and Spring Garden, and I avoided at least five muggings, and was pushed down a flight of stairs and robbed once. At noon. On a Monday.
Yea I thought D.C or Philly was the murder capitol. Either way I dont think you’ll have a problem in Belle Vernon. Like someone else said, unless you enjoy strolls through the North Side, the Hill, Homewood, or Carrick I doubt anyone will have a problem. PGH> N.O.
I just checked NO is now #3 but on the rise again this year until now. from 1991-1998 it was the murder capital of the world but has never been below #5 on the list.
