First… Threatening to take me out and putting it in print is not the best idea.
Think first.
Second… If you ever rode a vintage vespa you would understand the seating position if you were 6’0" tall and slouch. (Mom always told me to sit up straight) Lambrettas however fair better for someone of my height that’s why I bought one. I can’t believe I am justifying this here. There ya have it. No apologies.
Thirdly… Those of you who object to vintage scoots were obviously not meant to get it. A lot of us appreciate italian engineering and bringing the old back to life. I find it more rewarding to build my ride than to pull up to Don George’s or wherever and lay down my AmEx card. Sorry for the generalization but that seems to be par for the coarse here. Its funny, some of us view street bikes the same way you view scoots. I personally think speed bikes are horrendous looking and funny. The riding position on them resembles that of one being stuck in the “doggie” position. Regardless of my opinion, I would never wish for someone to bail at 120 mph. Fuck!
Lastly… After reading this with the insults to my rides, myself personally, and my friends, I am going to look at some style riders with a jaded eye. Its unfortunate because some people I have met actually appreciate what we do and I did of them. But now that kind of goes to shit. Too bad.

So you are telling me what is comfortable for me? Me knowing that my seat needs to still be rebuilt or replaced (newer restoration here okay) I should sit on the weaker springs up front and bottom out on the gas tank until I get around to finishing the job regardless of how it feels…cool thanks. Its an old machine and needed a lot of love. Its the money I lack. I just want to ride it man. I don’t care. Spot me $700 bucks for a new one and I will make you happy. Here… check it.
