How do you check to see if you have the loader or not? I don’t see anything special when booting up.
you won’t see shit. Looks like what Patterson sees when he reviews the budget.
Both are silent fixes (BIOS edit and loader) in that the end user won’t see a difference.

Bump for this thread. I got hit with that KB and had to dig this back up but it saved my ass. lol.
I rebuilt my laptop and forgot to change the auto updates to download but let me in stall (so I could uncheck the ones I don’t want and it downloaded/installed the KB above).
The faggy validation came back for me recently, and I followed all instructions and deleted that piece of SHIT update.
My desktop background hasn’t disappeared, though!
Just did this as well…Hopefully it will work…
Mines still good so hopefully you guys have as good of luck with this as i did.
It should be good so long you don’t download that update again (which I have already blocked).
