weren’t / aren’t you a cop?
:banghead: :roflpicard:
Educate yourself.
Let’s say it’s an accident… like " I had a feeling something wasn’t right, a light never came on and I never did anything about it and oh, I decided no to tell you.
Possible Negligence.
Let’s say you did it on purpose…as Newman DID. He intentionally removed a safety component from the car. I will repeat. Intentionally. Then he posits “do I have to tell?” Or perhaps he posits “can i sell as is?”
Worse. That’s more akin to an intentional tort or misreprensentation that Eclipsed mentioned.
I am not a lawyer, but I suppose the 3 semesters of business law paid off a little bit. Spend 15 seconds on wikipedia and you can learn the same.
We aren’t talking about “what he could get away with”. You can get away with murder under the right conditions. The question was about liability. Assuming they trace it back.
Let me put this another way. Do you think you can cut the brake lines to your car, intentionally. Sell it to me…Disclose as is. Then I get into an accident because the brakes fail. You would be so fucking liable and I would own every current and future asset you ever owned. You might even go to jail.
Besides the fact that you shouldn’t be able to sleep with yourself if you do this. This isn’t like handing in a car with a busted stereo (that you busted) and didn’t disclose.
^^^ other than you never use a wiki reference- completely right
:roflpicard:
wow, so much drama in this post! I love it.
It is a pretty good post :grouphug:
I don’t even want to read the rest of that post, because you said “educate yourself” and “wikipedia” in reference to each other. Obviously 3 semesters didn’t pay off.
On topic…
Maybe ask a dealer that you aren’t planning on trading to how they would handle the situation… perhaps an anonymous phone call.
^^
i was being facetious. I shouldn’t expect you to get that joke. the point was that legal information can be easily obtained. yet this entire thread is opinion and conjecture. Mostly retarded opinion.
But you and neon go on with your bad selves. You are right, 3 semesters didn’t pay off. I provided valid legal information, but it’s clear you are obviously much smarter than me. Your able rebuttal was…oh wait. Where was it again?
Oh I’m sorry, did you say “on topic”?? Yes, go ahead and ask the dealer with an anonymous phone call. You are friggin brilliant.
Could you please explain this facetious joke to us inferior brutes? I know we are mere intellectual failures and truly undeserving of your divine script. STFU! It seems to me that lastly semester must contain the most vital information, due to the morbid presentation of information provided by yourself.
The term off-color humor (also known as dirty jokes or blue humor) is an Americanism used to describe various jokes, prose, poems, black comedy and skits that deal with topics that are considered to be in poor taste or overly vulgar by the prevailing morals in a culture. Treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humor is called facetiousness. Most commonly labeled as “off-color” are acts concerned with sex, a particular ethnic group, or gender. Other off-color topics include: violence, particularly domestic abuse; excessive swearing or profanity; “toilet humor”; national superiority or inferiority, dead baby jokes, pedophilic content, and any other topics generally considered impolite or indecent. Generally, the point of off-color humor is to induce laughter by evoking a feeling of shock and surprise in the comedian’s audience. In this way, “blue” humor is related to other forms of postmodern humor, such as the anti-joke.
