do you go to CCAC?

i thought I saw your NX at school yesterday.

wait you go to CCAC???

I thought you told us before that you are soooo smart and all this other shit… and you go to CCAC??? oh boy

No I graduated from Pitt about 4 years ago (man time flies!) I also store the NX during the winter. Thats cool that there is another saphire blue nx running around the burgh though. The last time I saw another one the same color here was about 3 years ago. Its one of the rarerest colors for an NX.

I knew I’d blow off my first few years of college…no point in wasting my dad’s money. This is the first year I’ve taken school seriously and I’m doing extremely well. After I’ve decided on a major I’ll transfer to a “real” school.

I thought about going somewhere prestigious… I scored very high on the SATs and I’d have gotten into some really good schools (specifically NYU + Penn), but I knew I wasn’t ready to handle the pressure. Instead I went to CCAC and wasted less than $3000 over the course of four years (I took a few semesters off).

Thats a very smart move. I wasted my first 3 years at Pitt on my parents money. I finally got serious when they cut me off. I worked for 2 years and saved up money and paid my own way the last 2 years. My grades went from 1.5—2.2 GPAs to over 3.0 GPAs.

sucks to be you

yeah i graduated nicely from PSU last year on my own money and it’s hurting me now till the cars paid off…

but me < blanyer even tho i went to a “real school”

i’m sorry i had to, ccac i’m sorry to hear that…a prof used to say “you guys are paying over 800 dollars a credit to go to school here, if you want to goof off ccac isn’t too far away…”

The only good thing is that I will get paid back for all my loans. Since nursing is in such high demand, hospitals either give huge sign on bonuses or tuition reinbursment. I go to ccac too…i always thought the school sucked till i started going there, and i have girls from Pitt and Duquesne telling me that ccac’s program is harder than theirs.

tah’s because they’re in classes of 800 where profs dont’ give a shit about students, any smaller school is harder than larger ones just because of of class size. i NEVER had a day i didn’t have a shitload of work to do or study for and all my psu main friends talked about how easy shit was and how much they partied (same major)

descrete math and logics KILLED me

Well considering that 99% of people that attend CCAC get a 2 year degree then move on to another school. I couldnt imagine someone with a 4 year degree from any Community College.

“Could have gotten into” or “Applied to?” UPenn and NYU are expensive as hell… but they each give out many scholarships. You are going to CCAC to save money… i think you are just trying to bullshit the people on this board, and pull the “i’m just taking my time with school, and saving money” card.

People/kids with money DO NOT goto Community College. :slap:

you know how many credits i earned in three years? zero. i dropped out every time. i couldn’t work full time and pull off a full courseload.

 I’m not trying to impress anyone with my parents’ money; I didn’t earn it. I’m just saying that with a 1510 on my SATs, playing sports, doing volunteer work, and the fact that my dad would have paid cash to any school I went to, it was pretty much up to me where I went. I’m sure that it doesn’t hurt that my cousin is in admissions at NYU either.

Tell that to the girl in my English class with the Escalade.

CCAC is either for kids who didn’t have the money to go anywhere else, or kids who had the money but didn’t have the commitment and self-discipline to cut it at a “real” school. CCAC is actually (from what I’ve heard from those who’ve transferred) a bit harder than a lot of state schools. I think it’s basically to get slackers from high school prepared for college curriculum while still in a laid-back high-schoolesque environment.

Eh…

my dad did his undergrad at Penn State.

he’s taken classes at CCAC… his real estate practice and fundamentals course for one…

people who have money are cheaper than people who pretend to…

hell, Amanda’s family is worth at least as much as mine and she’s in her 2nd year of CCAC.

anyhow…this topic is about as beat as a crackwhore’s pussy…
