Awd VS Rwd Vs Fwd

rwd is fun. powerslidig and drifting > *

just for the breakage factor, i’d go rwd.

Rwd

all things equal awd would win. 400hp to the wheels means no drivetrain loss at all, so it would get off the line quicker and continue to stay ahead to the end of wherever your racing.

If we’re talking 400 at the crank well its a completely different story but the thread says wheel hp.

yeah but most of you import guys put a set of lowering springs on and expect the thing to hook(not saying you)there’s alot more to suspension and how to make a car hook than most people think the whole reason of moving your battery to the trunk and not running a front sway bar to softer springs and shocks in the back so imho im going RWD

Since it is power at the drive wheels, the AWD wins. It’s making more crank power and we’ve held everything else constant and improved grip.

If the torque curve looks like an Integra Type-R’s curve rather than a big block V8, then the fwd isn’t going to be much different from the rwd. If the torque curve is high and flat then the bias will be towards the AWD, then the RWD, then the FWD.

Claiming everything else is constant makes this somewhat invalid because the absolute weight and static weight distribution between fwd, rwd and awd would normally be different.

It should be a crank hp basis. Seeing how awd loses more. Assuming they all make 400whp the awd car will own on paper. I still say rwd though.

apples and oranges.

That’s what I’m screamin

uh huh

Yes, but with AWD none of that shit is nessesary. And you dont have to worry about going home to put on your ET streets. (like i used to)
