BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man and a Rochester man are facing charges after climbing up WIVB’s broadcast tower. It appears the men were attempting to thrill jump off the tower. Police say the men, ages 32 and 27, were wearing parachutes.
Police say the men made it half way up the tower when police arrived on the scene. The men came back down and were immediately placed in police custody. In the included photos you can see police take the two men into custody.
At least one of the men was wearing a device on his helmet that appeared to be a camera.
The men are charged with criminal trespassing and conspiracy.

Curious what your plan was (probably can’t talk about it until this is sorted with courts) because I’m pretty sure the RF signal near the top would have cooked you unless you had some inside info that the tower would be powered down for maintenance.
