Rappelling, Rope Swings

Another activity I’ve been enjoying this summer… (I love things that end in “ing” this summer!)

if anyone wants to go, I have all the gear, just get your own harness (50 bucks)

Here was the very first thing I did. Tied off to my car’s B-pillar:

The a few days later, went and did this:
Where’s Waldo?

Then I graduated to this:

Planning on doing the grain elevators before the summer is over…

It’s scary as fuck, though…

Did you get my email about repelling the Indian Casino? It’s a bit late now though since it happened Thursday.

i want in.

Walker, get a harness!

Use to do this back in high school, now the harness just sits in my closet. :frowning:

Sell me it so that I can try.

I love when people spell this word correctly

Yeah Im gonna have to be in. Do they make harnesses for people that are as wide as an 8yr old ?

yeah, they’re in the girls section :mamoru:

Thats fine. I actually will pay for a pink harness

Looks pretty fun and scary. Tempting…I have health insurance but no life insurance though. LOL

Best place to buy a harness? EMS maybe?

Umm make your own harness from rope? Sure it’s not as comfortable but, that’s what I’ve always done.

If you want to do real bad ass rappelling try Australian style. Not for the feint of heart.

I’ve done it a few times, so fun. Face down is fucking terrifying.

This looks like so much fun. I did it a lot several years ago… I think I may just have to get a harness. Sure, swiss seats are easy to make but they aren’t nearly as comfortable.

EMS sells harnesses for like 50 bucks… I have 200 ft of rope and plan on doing the grain elevators soon…

Mike93 and I went by there today and thought that would be fucking awesome. If I pick something up soon, can you show me the ropes? (corny pun intended)

Sure thing. It’s REALLY scary.

This was supposed to be the pic that said “where’s waldo”

Rappelling down the grain towers would freak me out a bit. But the other stuff would simply be awesome.

after you get good, try Australian rappelling. Its pretty damn awesome.
