They were just looking to get a better vantage point to keep an eye on all of the white vans of WNY.
Yeah I have no interest in the skydiving thread, so I missed the fun until now.
I think it’s important to note that Newman, while he may (sometimes) trespass on private property to do these things, is very respectful of the property itself. I don’t know him to be the type of person that would cause ANY damage to the property or distress to the owners. I understand the thrill, and commend him for doing it in a way that doesn’t put anyone else in harm’s way aside from himself.
Hopefully this just turns out to be a slap on the wrist and you can continue being awesome. :tup:

To me, it raises the question of if there were more legal, local places for people to jump from if there would be an issue of people jumping from illegal locations?
Or maybe the more direct question is it about the thrill of the jump, or jumping from an illegal location?
The problem is you’ll never see a lot of legal places to jump because of liability. No matter how much a jumper promises not to sue or agrees to sign a liability waiver some lawyer will find a way to sue the property owner if someone gets hurt. Even worse that lawyer will win and even if they lose the property owner will spend thousands defending themselves in court. Land of the free!
That sucks, but he had to know that sooner or this might happen.
