Battery or alt. belt bolt???

Okay, I had my fun in this thread.

You are not the best with cars. If you keep driving your car the way it is, you will be lucky if you ONLY kill your battery. You may get as far as blown head gasket and blown motor if you continue to drive it the way it is.

By missing the tensioning bolt, your alt. belt is improperly tensioned, thus you are not getting proper charging and power off the alt. that explains the battery indicator being illuminated.

The water pump is driven off the same belt as the alt. so it is likely that your water pump is not delivering proper coolant circulation. Thus explains the coolant light being on.

As for the brake indicator, I honestly don’t know why Mitsu/Chrysler thought it necessary to illuminate that indicator for the situation, but a look in your owners manual in your glovebox clearly tells this.

Bottom-line. Stop driving the car IMMEDIATELY. Buy a new tensioner bolt, put it in, and then the car will be fine.
