In emergency cases hospitals pick up the bill, but what about a person with cancer or aids a prolonged illness. What about a person that needs a transplant? They don’t get covered by an ER visit.
In a country as rich as ours with the best doctors and the best hospitals its insane to allow some people to die, or keep people from getting treated because they know they won’t be able to pay.
It should be a right.
Not to mention the “treatment” they get is the bare minimum to keep them alive for a bit, not well, and sent on their way with a bunch of bills, and prescriptions for life saving drugs that they know they won’t be able to fill. Sweet life. (Or, after a month or so, lack thereof)

it’s not. As of now, I’ve paid a shit load of money into SS that I’ll never collect on and on top of that, pay money into a 401K so I do have “insurance” for the future. When I broke my arm and was unable to work, disability did JACK SHIT for me even though I’ve paid quite a bit into that too. The same is going to happen with heath care… they’ll be taking a bigger chunk out of our paychecks while the vast majority will probably stay with private care, despite the cost and end up HURTING the middle class worse than they already are
edit: just give me a simple breakdown on how they WONT drop the ball on this program too, and I’ll shut up about it. (nobody can though until it happens)
