so the actual subframe itself is cracked? that sucks! how those mounts look under there? Did my phone-advice yest help you get it out?
Oh btw… seriously… how come you’re not fixing the M?
318 insurance is cheaper, M3 had rust and much previous body/audio work, lots of hole drilled in it for random shit over the years…and the front frame rails are pushed a good 3" <<<<thataway.
:rofl
So apparently I’m doing a hydraulic ebrake setup, probably go with the K-Sport kit. It’s the same price as replacing all the stock stuff we have to destroy.
oh, and this is the sub out of the M3, which has stock reinforcements, they look fine.
I ended up pulling the stud that the sub was getting hung up on, which was bent a bit probably for the same reasons the subframe is cracked…I’ll snap a pic of the subfram carnage right now actually, brb.
And what would that reason be, hmmm?
You are gonna wreck this one too
A neglectful and abusive owner
As long as the rear subframe, suspension, motor, and driveline make it through a wreck, I’ll swap shells every year :rofl
Awsome handle ftw! :excited
Was he wielding a sledge hammer as an innocent bystander cowered in fear?
Oh stop, it was a 2lb rubber mallet.
Holy rust
Yeah if anyone sees me driving this car in the winter after all this bullshit.
Punchasize my face.
jesus christ dude. that subframe looks horrendous.
+1… Nasty!!
looks nice.
i want to drift it.
Wait til the new one’s together…just made an order through tischer:
33326772698 x2
33321094653 x2
33321139132 x2
33321090693 x2
33171090824 x2
33326760364 x2
33326760389 x2
33326760668 x8
I can’t wait to see it all installed and happy, nevermind driving it :rofl
Yeah no doubt man… Although I am unable to holler at the big mamis on Central due to my 3er looking (and smelling like) horse manure, the car is just so much nicer with the damn subframe done.
To the point that I actually feel safe driving around in it, whereas before I would be juggling the steering wheel like a D1 dropout just to maintain a constant radius through a turn at like 20 mph.
looks like an LS1 would fit pretty nice in there if you ask me…
Ugh. I bet it would. Tell ya what you throw one in there and I’ll be a rolling billboard for RLMS :rofl
I’ll even make the vinyl :rofl
