Im getting started on a build and looking for a forum to share my bike with and pick some brains. Most builds/projects I’ve done have been thrash none stop start to finish but this one I’m taking my time and will try to learn as much as possible along the way. I have a couple old books and the owners manual but for what I’m doing with it, I think a good forum with great vendors is the way to go.
I have seen this thing in person, it is clean, super stoked for you man.
@XwalkerX and @newman would know far more on this over me. You can take a peak at the following until then:

Pics dude, pics.
Yup. It has been a family project that started before I was born. My father has passed it to me to complete it and I’ll be riding it in 2016.
I’ll wait for the build thread for pics and vids. =] I’ve had a blast w cool projects but this will be one hell of a prestigious and righteous ride.
Damn dude, I’m jealous as all hell. 5 years ago it probably wouldn’t have even hit my radar as ‘cool,’ but spending some time with Walker has really changed my perception on these old American bikes. Serious stuff.
Can’t wait for the build!
I’ll get my panhead out when the hipster harley fad passes.
Well looks like your get an invite to come check it out
I hear ya
If you’re going to do something nice, then put it on Jockey Journal, but be ready for a lot of criticism… there is a lot of high class stuff that gets posted there. Chopcult is OK too, there is knowledge there, though, but a lot of crap.
Isn’t this bike mostly complete, though? Your brother showed me a picture when I was building my shovel and the motor and trans and frame and forks and exhaust were already done, just needed little stuff like tins and controls.
What are your plans for it?
I know nothing about harleys…lol.
but, this sounds cool and please log a build HERE for us!
I can take constructive criticism and ideas. “Nice” isn’t the word I want people to use when they see it.
It was roughed together just to fire it. It needs a good bit of work before I ride it. This has been a long project - we put the motor and trans in the frame 15 years ago.
…
Jockey Journal doesn’t sound like it would be a forum for this type of build but I will check it out.
My plans - finish the bike and ride in 2016.
I think a picture of its current state is necessary.
yeah man wtf no pics wtf man wtf
not sheriff srs about making post w/out pic.
It’s like they all went from riding faggot bicycles to riding Harleys. Such an outlaws bike-ridden by 110b feeble faggots in skin tight jeans thinking about their emotions and posting selfies on Facebook.
My jeans usually aren’t tight as mentioned above… but after seeing the picture they just got realllll tight. Beautiful motor…
Seems like you have a great starting point.
Thanks man. Yeah the old man had a vision for bikes that always turned out being award winning. I have a raw rear fender to start playing with but I need to get the lift into my garage. Sucks working and looking at it on the ground.
