Check out Shell Fab and Design also…they were the ones who fulfilled my Home Depot order. They had a giant warehouse full of different granites when they called me to come pick out the slab I wanted.

I have an appointment at Buffalo Granite in the morning. I will ask if they would give a discount if we buy as a group. Worth asking! Will post what I come up with.

Like some of the ones I had posted I would like to do one of the busier/more grain styles(pending they arent wayyyy more $$$) and then will do a simple stone or tin backsplas. My favorite to look at is the blk/copper grain style but I am not positive it would go well in this kitchen. Something I will have to discuss with the designer that will be there with my mom in the morn.

So is buffalo granite the place to go? We are looking to get about 58 sq ft of soapstone installed in the next month. Our kitchen designer uses CFM, and we have a quote from them.

I will try someone else on my next kitchen. I did not find them professional at all and they seemed to only have reasons to not be able to do something and make it complicated.

I have heard a few people recommend Solid Surfaces, they are out of Rochester but service Buffalo too.

May parents ran into the same issue with them last year as well when they were redoing the 3 spare bathrooms…nice work but not service/professionalism.
I’m still a big fan or Sorti, great work and people.

My buddies family owns Buffalo Granite, I can get you in contact with him as he works for them as well. That’s if anyone desires going to them.

I’m doing my kitchen soon and so far I’ve been quoted around $65 sq ft for group “A” and around $80 sq ft for group “B”.

I called and emailed them our kitchen design for a soapstone quote. Waiting to see where they end up on price.

Just called Sorti, they do not carry soapstone

If I recall correctly, SSI is wholesale only.

We use buffalo granite, solid surfaces and CFM.

We use CFM more than buffalo granite. And solid surfaces usually for Quartz.
