i need to do the brakes on my sisters jetta so wheres the best place to order online
rockauto.com assuming ur just doin OEM replacement ish
awwww sarahhhhh.
she should have just asked me.
blauparts.com is good too.
though i only get audi stuff there.
browse it. prices are usually the best.
Lakeland Auto on NFB is pretty reasonably priced… Just make sure that they give you the right shit.
ahh thanks do i need any special tools
What year jetta. Front or rears?
Ps I saw you fillin up an s4 at noco in the burg the other day? Is that your new car?
In case it’s a MKIV (not sure about other years)…
FYI the front pistons will push right in but the back pistons you have to turn as you press.
Yeah you’re going to need a rather large hex wrench, but I forget what size.
Any mk3 with rear discs is he same way
good luck. Advance rents a tool that will make putting the rear brakes in a whole lot easier
I just used a big C clamp to apply a little pressure and channel locks to twist the drums. Not elegant but it worked fine.
