Wonder if you could set it in position. Carefully take it apart without moving it. Silicone the guts back there and put it back together.

I gave the old mirror I can take apart and investigate without messing with this one.

Wayne - has nothing to do with engine mounts, these mirrors are fricken vortex generators at speed and the wind knocks it around.
